Marc Riera @bitxoptera

Marc is a field biologist and ecologist (University of Barcelona, 2015; Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, 2019) who after (as many other kids) being fascinated by dinosaurs decided to become a palaeontologist. However, his way through undergrad drove him closer to plants, with a passion for non-vascular plants, as well as parasitic plants. Marc is currently a PhD student in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Marc holds a special award for best undergraduate thesis of his cohort, after his analysis on the evolution of Mesozoic rays. Marc also was awarded in the science communication competition Inspiraciencia 2018, one of the biggest Sci-com competitions in Spain.
